Raoul Wallenberg Preschool Bromma is a preschool that prioritises a peaceful and harmonious atmosphere for the children. We do this by establishing effective routines and structures, along with a stable and inspiring learning environment that encourages free play and arouses children’s curiosity. When children feel secure, they can absorb knowledge and learning at their own pace and according to their own abilities, both indoors and outdoors. In order to create peace and quiet at the school, we always divide the children into smaller groups.
Two of the preschool’s seven sections are forest kindergartens – Hallonet 1-3 years and Havtornet 3-4 years. We have teachers specially trained in outdoor pedagogy. The work of our other sections is inspired by outdoor learning. We see sustainable development, health and well-being as very important components in the education and care of all the children at our preschool.
All our teachers have relevant qualifications and most have considerable experience. All are passionate about their mission to make a difference for every single child. Teachers undergo continuous professional development to stay at the forefront of their profession.
We pride ourselves on a very good working relationship with parents and carers. This is achieved through the important daily meeting/conversation, development conversations, open parent councils, traditional gatherings such as the Lucia pre-Christmas celebration, summer parties, fix-it evenings, walks, etc. Parents and carers can read daily about our activities using the TYRA preschool app. Each department blogs every day on TYRA about what they have been doing. All children also have their own learning portfolio there.
Our preschool is located in the picturesque area of Beckomberga. The exterior of our three-storey building was renovated recently. The sections are brightly decorated and consist of modern learning environments, all based on the activities and interests of the children. We also have our own art room, library and large exercise room. We are very proud of our two large newly landscaped yards, each with its own barbecue area where everyone can enjoy the smell of delicious food being prepared. We also have the beautiful forest/natural environment located right next to the preschool. We spend some time there every day.

In the latest parents’ survey, we received a rating of 4.3 for child safety and 4.7 for satisfaction on a five-point scale. Normally we have 130 children enrolled at the preschool.
